RenderFlow requires an active license for any computer that processes jobs. You can connect any number of computers the license is only used when a computer receives a job. You don't need a license for running the server on a dedicated computer, submitting jobs, or monitoring nodes.
Here are two examples:
Example 1
You have 1 main workstation and 3 render nodes. During the day, you submit jobs from your main workstation to feed the render nodes with work. Overnight, you'd like to use your workstation as a render node as well. This means you'll need 4 licenses in total.
Example 2
You have a studio with 10 computers, 1 of them is used as a server, 1 is used to submit jobs and you would like to use the remaining 8 computers to render the jobs, you will need 8 licenses.
We provide a 30 day free trial period to all users that can be used up to 10 computers in total. You can request the licenses and start your trial directly inside RenderFlow during the server configuration or on our website.
